Amuleks Meal

Amulek’s meal is the bread and meat that Amulek set before Alma when Alma entered the city hungry. Alma asked a man for “something to eat,” and Amulek invited him into his house to impart food (Alma 8:19–20). Amulek “brought forth bread and meat and set before Alma,” and Alma ate and was filled (Alma 8:21–22).

An angel had told Amulek to return home because he would “feed a prophet of the Lord,” who had “fasted many days” and was hungry (Alma 10:7). Alma blessed Amulek and his house and gave thanks unto God after eating (Alma 8:22).

Alma remained with Amulek for many days before beginning to preach to the people (Alma 8:27). Amulek said that Alma blessed his house, his women, his children, his father, and his kindred while Alma dwelt there (Alma 10:11).
