Arrows are weapons used with bows for obtaining food and in battle. Nephi made “out of a straight stick, an arrow” after making a bow of wood, then armed himself “with a bow and an arrow, with a sling and with stones” and asked his father where he should obtain food (1 Nephi 16:23). Nephi’s family also went into the wilderness “to slay food for our families” with bows and arrows (1 Nephi 16:14).
A speaker armed his people “with bows, and with arrows” before going against the Lamanites to battle (Mosiah 9:16). Moroni’s army cast up dirt around a city to shield themselves from “the arrows and the stones of the Lamanites” (Alma 49:2).
People angry at Samuel “shot arrows at him as he stood upon the wall,” but they could not hit him with their stones or arrows (Helaman 16:2). Mormon’s people were attacked “with the sword, and with the bow, and with the arrow” (Mormon 6:9).
